This is offered as a two-part online/ in person class
Part 1- Classroom training (~12 hours)- the theoretical portion of the class will be held online as a 10 session video course, you can join this online class from anywhere in the world. To sign up for PSUPA membership, complete the video course and complete the theoretical test, please go to:
Part 2- Practical training (~6 hours) will be held as a outdoor group class at Blue Planet Adventure Co in Haleiwa, Oahu. If you can not participate on a scheduled group training date, you can also request to schedule a private in person certification on a different date (cost of private certification: $400 for first student, $200 per additional student). Use of equipment is included in class fee.
You can also do it with a certified PSUPA instructor trainer closer to you. For more information on finding a instructor in your area, please visit the PSUP website.

Anyone can join the classroom portion of the class but to get certified as a PSUPA SUP instructor, participants must:

|Classroom Session (9 Videos + access to on-line certification test)||$115.00|
|On-Water Session (1 day session group session at Blue Planet)||$200.00|
|Total Cost to become a PSUPA certified instructor:||$400|
Certification is valid for 4 years (with active membership)
The entire course must be completed within 6 months from starting, (unless a preapproved extension is granted), so it is strongly advised for candidates to solidify their plans for the on-water portion prior to beginning.
