Blue Planet 8'6 x 29 x 4.1 x 115L Ho'okipa

The 8'6 x 29 x 4.1 @ 115L Ho'okipa is a no compromise high performance surf model.  This board has a thin pin tail giving it lots of hold on steep takeoffs and when turning in the pocket. The outline of this board and the tapered rails gives plenty of drive and smooth rail to rail transitions. The flat deck in the standing area gives a solid stable platform.

Construction: SMART Carbon/Epoxy (Sandwich Molded Active Response Technology) uses a proprietary layup to achieve strength, rigidity and a responsive, snappy flex at very light weight.  The lightweight EPS core is fully wrapped with high density PVC foam that is sandwiched between two layers of carbon fiber (fiberglass if epoxy construction) before being saturated in epoxy resin. This results in a very strong, durable board that is exceptionally light. The carbon has an even greater strength to weight ratio. High quality deck pad with comfortable yet very grippy yet traction in the standing areas.
